Prevaricate-Class Starship
The Federation introduced the Prevaricate-class starship shortly before the second Borg incursion. Prevaricate-class vessels are highly overpowered and overarmed for their size.
Most Prevariacte-class vessels had a cruising speed of warp 7 and a maximum of warp 9.5; however, they were not design for sustained warp flight and required secondary vessels to transport them long distances.
While highly maneuverable and armed with pulse phaser arrays and quantum torpedoes, the most remarkable aspect of the Prevaricate-class was the incredibly advanced phased cloak. This phased cloak allowed the Prevaricate-class vessels to achieve their primary mission: utilize its high intensity phase distributor to burn a hole through the hull and infiltrate any installation, allowing deployment of a Special Operations team.
