The Alpha Quadrant makes up one quarter of the Milky Way Galaxy and is home to the majority of the United Federation of Planets. Earth, located in Sector 001, hosts the office of the Federation President (Paris, France), the Federation Council, Starfleet Headquarters, Starfleet Academy (San Francisco, California, United States of America), and the Federation Penal Settlement (New Zealand). Deep Space Nine, Bajor, and the Cardassian Union are also located in the Alpha Quadrant.
Most of the Alpha Quadrant remains unexplored to this day. |
