First book in a new series set in an alternate future in 2384. A new ship, the USS COURAGEOUS, is set to leave for an exploratory mission in the midst of the ongoing Dominion War. However, they are pressed into duty earlier than expected to investigate a mysterious starbase explosion. The crew uncovers the culprit, a sinister group... Most of the crew are new characters, with a few DS9 characters, and guest appearances from all Trek series.
